What the Workbook Builder does
The Workbook Builder combines several printable sheets into one branded, multi-page PDF. Instead of generating a sudoku, a word search and a maze as three separate downloads, you assemble them into a single document with a cover, a contents page, your chosen activities and optional answer keys. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to create.
How to build a pack
- Add sheets. Pick activities from the catalogue on the left, or start from a ready-made preset such as the Mixed activity pack.
- Set copies and answers. Choose how many of each sheet to include, and tick "Answers" on any sheet that has a solution.
- Configure each sheet. Open "Configure" to set the number of puzzles per sheet, grid or maze size, and difficulty where the sheet supports it.
- Add a seed (optional). Enter a word or number to make the randomised puzzles reproducible, so you can rebuild the same pack later or share an identical copy.
- Download or share. Build the pack as one print-ready PDF, or copy a share link that rebuilds it on someone else's device.
Who it is for
Teachers building a week of morning work, parents putting together a quiet-time folder, tutors preparing revision sets, and activity coordinators in libraries or care homes. Anywhere you would otherwise print a stack of separate sheets, the builder turns them into one tidy booklet that staples or files in order.
Answer keys, seeds and sharing
Answer keys can sit together at the back of the pack or follow each sheet, whichever suits how you mark. A seed locks the randomised puzzles so the same pack can be reproduced on demand — useful for handing identical copies to a class or rebuilding a favourite set next year. The share link carries the full pack configuration, including the seed, so a colleague opens the builder with everything in place.
FAQs
Quick answers
Is the Workbook Builder free?
Yes. You can build and download an activity pack for free, with no sign-up. There is a free-tier limit on pack size (up to 12 sheets / about 40 pages) to keep generation fast in the browser; larger packs are planned as a premium option.
Can I rebuild the exact same puzzles later?
Set a seed (any word or number, such as "class-4b") before you build. The same seed plus the same sheets always produces an identical pack, so you can recreate it next term or hand out matching copies. Seeds apply to the randomised puzzles — sudoku, word searches and mazes. You can save seeds in your browser to reuse them.
Can I share a workbook with someone else?
Yes. The Share button copies a link that encodes your whole pack — the sheets, options and seed. Anyone who opens it lands on the builder with your pack ready to download, so it rebuilds the same way on their device.
Do the packs include answer keys?
For sheets that have solutions (sudoku, word searches, many worksheets), tick "Answers" on that sheet. You can place all answer keys together at the end of the pack or directly after each sheet.
Can I change how many puzzles are on each sheet?
Open "Configure" on any sheet to adjust the options it supports — number of puzzles or problems, grid or maze size, and difficulty where available. Other sheets keep their standard layout.
What paper sizes can I print on?
The whole pack is laid out for A4 or US Letter, so it prints cleanly at home, in a library or in the classroom. Pick the size once and every page in the pack matches.
