A menu, not a meal plan
Meal planning decides what to cook. A menu tells everybody else what is coming, and those are different pieces of paper — one lives in a drawer, the other goes on the wall.
Why the rules are inset
Full-width lines under a centred heading read as a form. Pulling them in makes the page read as a menu, which is the only job it has.
Family board or event
It works for a Sunday written up on the kitchen board and for a printed card at a dinner. The headings are general enough for both and there is nothing on it that ties it to an occasion.
Writing a menu people read
Name the dish, not the recipe. "Roast chicken, bread sauce" reads better on a board than a full description, and the blank space around it is doing as much work as the words.
Leave a line empty rather than filling every rule. A menu with three things on it looks considered; the same menu padded out to eleven looks like a list of ingredients.
Two ways people use it
On a kitchen board for the week, so the question of what is for tea is answered before it is asked. Or written out properly as a card for a dinner or a party, one per couple down the table.
Printing
A4 or US Letter, and it prints perfectly well at half size if you want cards rather than a board sheet — set two pages per sheet in your printer dialog and cut down the middle.

Can I edit the section headings?
The heading at the top and the label in the corner are yours to change. The section headings are fixed, which is what keeps every copy of the sheet laid out the same way.
Will it fit on US Letter as well as A4?
Yes. Sections are measured against the paper you choose, so nothing runs off the bottom of the shorter sheet.
Can I print more than one copy at a time?
Yes — set the page count up to four and the PDF carries that many identical pages.
