How to play Three Men's Morris

1. Each player takes three pieces. Use coins, buttons, or the cut-outs printed under the board.
2. Placing phase: players take turns placing one piece on any empty point until all six pieces are on the board.
3. Sliding phase: players then take turns moving one of their pieces along a marked line to an adjacent empty point.
4. The first player to line up all three of their pieces in a straight row — horizontal, vertical, or (with diagonals on) diagonal — wins.
5. Tip: controlling the centre point is powerful because more lines pass through it.
