A straightforward invoice you can print and fill in
This blank invoice template gives you a tidy, professional layout without any accounting software. Everything sits on a single page: a bold INVOICE heading with room for your business name, From and Bill To address boxes, invoice number, date and due-date fields, a clear line-item table, and a totals stack for subtotal, tax and the final amount due. Print it, write in the details by hand, and hand or post it to your customer.
Because it is a blank template, it works for any trade or one-off sale — a freelancer billing a client, a market stall, a tutor, a tradesperson, or a small shop that just needs a paper record.
What is on the sheet
- Business heading — add your name or trading name, or leave a ruled line to write it in.
- From / Bill To boxes — side-by-side address blocks with faint writing rules.
- Invoice details — invoice number, date and due-date fields.
- Line-item table — description, quantity, unit price and line total columns with blank rows.
- Totals stack — subtotal, optional tax, and a highlighted total.
- Notes strip — space for payment details or terms.
What you can customise
- Business name — printed in bold at the top of the invoice.
- Number of line rows — from 5 up to 24 to match the size of the job.
- Currency symbol — shown in the price and total column headings.
- Tax row — include or hide the tax line in the totals.
- Notes strip — show or hide the payment-details area.
How to use it

Tips for a clear invoice
Number your invoices in sequence so they are easy to track, and always write the date and a due date so payment terms are obvious. Keep one line per item with a short description, the quantity and the unit price, and let the totals stack do the rest. Use the notes strip for bank details, a reference, or a short thank-you. Keep a copy for your own records before you send it.
FAQs
Quick answers
Is this invoice template really blank?
Yes. It prints the headings, boxes and an empty line-item table so you fill in the customer details, items and amounts by hand. Nothing is pre-filled except your business name and currency symbol if you choose to add them.
Can I change the currency symbol?
Yes. Set any symbol — for example £, $, €, or another currency mark — and it appears in the unit price and total column headings and beside each total box.
How many line items can the table hold?
You choose between 5 and 24 blank rows. The table stretches to fill the available space, so fewer rows means taller, easier-to-write lines and more rows means a compact list.
What paper size does it print on?
The invoice fills a full A4 or US Letter page edge to edge, so it prints cleanly on either size from any home or office printer.
