A quiet, one-page prayer journal you can print and write in by hand
The prayer journal is a single printable page that gives your prayer time a gentle structure. A date field sits at the top, then ruled sections walk you through a verse, praise and thanksgiving, the requests on your heart, the prayers God has answered, and a closing reflection.
Pick a daily layout for a focused quiet time, or a weekly layout with extra request lines to carry through the week. Print in A4 or US Letter, keep a stack in a binder, and let the pages become a record of how your prayers change over time.
Why keep a written prayer journal?
Praying on paper slows you down. Writing a request out in full — naming the person, the situation, the specific thing you are asking for — makes prayer concrete instead of vague. And when a prayer is answered, a journal lets you look back and see it. Use the page for:
- a daily quiet time with a clear starting point
- a weekly prayer list you revisit each morning
- small-group or Bible-study prayer requests
- gratitude and praise that is easy to forget in the moment
- tracking answered prayers so you remember to give thanks
- a keepsake record of a season of your faith
What you can customise
- Page title: default "Prayer Journal" or rename it for a devotional, a group, or a study series
- Layout: Daily (single date, focused) or Weekly ("Week of" header, more request lines)
- Scripture section: show a ruled space for a verse at the top, or hide it to begin with praise
- Fixed sections: Praise & Thanksgiving, Prayer Requests with tick boxes, Answered Prayers, Reflection
- Paper size: A4, US Letter or US Legal PDF
How the sections work
Scripture / Verse
An optional ruled space at the top to copy out the verse you are reading or meditating on — a good anchor for the rest of the page.
Praise & Thanksgiving
Begin with gratitude. A few lines to note what you are thankful for before you bring your requests.
Prayer Requests
The heart of the page: ruled lines each with a small tick box, so you can mark a request as answered when the time comes.
Answered Prayers
Space to record the prayers God has answered — a running reminder that keeps thanksgiving alive.
Reflection
A closing space for a thought, a lesson, or a line of response to what you have read and prayed.

Daily vs weekly layout
The daily layout keeps a single date field and tighter sections — ideal for a morning quiet time you repeat each day. The weekly layout swaps the date field for a "Week of" header and adds extra request lines, so one page can hold the prayers you are carrying across a whole week before you print a fresh one.
Printing and keeping your journal
The page prints cleanly on A4 and US Letter. Print a month at a time, punch holes and keep them in a ring binder, or fold a week into the back of your Bible. Old pages become a quiet record of answered prayer worth re-reading.

FAQs
Quick answers
Is this a daily or weekly prayer journal?
Both — pick the layout you want. Daily gives a single date field for a focused quiet time; Weekly swaps in a "Week of" header and adds extra prayer-request lines to carry through the week.
Can I remove the Scripture section?
Yes. Toggle off "Include Scripture / Verse" and the page begins with Praise & Thanksgiving instead, giving the other sections more room.
What sections are on the page?
An optional Scripture / Verse space, then Praise & Thanksgiving, Prayer Requests with small tick boxes, Answered Prayers, and a Reflection space.
Why do the prayer requests have checkboxes?
So you can tick a request off when it is answered. It turns the list into a simple record you can look back on to see how prayers were answered over time.
Is it a fillable PDF?
No — it prints as a clean page you write on by hand. That keeps it universal, works offline, and needs no PDF editor or app.
What paper sizes are supported?
A4, US Letter and US Legal. Print at 100% scale so the sections and lines keep their spacing.
Is there any branding on the page?
Just the light shared PrintablesWorld header and footer that every printable uses. The prayer sections themselves are clean and undecorated so you can use them in any setting.
