Printable cupcake toppers and favor tags in minutes
Cupcake toppers turn an ordinary tray of treats into a finished party centrepiece, and matching favor tags tie the whole theme together. This free generator lays out a full sheet of personalised toppers or tags on one page, each on a dashed cut guide so they are quick to snip out cleanly. Type your message once, choose a colour theme, and print as many sheets as your guest list needs — no design software and no sign-up required.
Because every topper comes off the same branded template, the spacing, fonts, and borders stay neat and consistent whether you print a dozen circles for one cake or a full page of named favor tags for a classroom party.
Two shapes, four themes
- Circle toppers — round 2-inch style toppers to tape to a toothpick or skewer and stand in a cupcake or cake.
- Favor tags — rounded rectangle tags with an accent band and an optional punch hole for ribbon or twine.
- Themes — Birthday, Party, Baby, and Classroom colour palettes, plus a neutral Custom theme.
- Borders — solid, double, dashed, or a scalloped dot ring for a laser-cut look.
Personalise with names
Paste a list of names — one per line — and the generator gives each topper the next name as its main line, so every guest, student, or party bag gets their own. Leave the name list empty to repeat a single message such as "Happy Birthday" or "Thank You" across the whole sheet. Add an optional sub-line for a date, an age, or a short note.
Great for birthdays, showers, and classrooms
Use birthday toppers for a cake table, baby-shower tags for guest favors, or classroom toppers for a treat day, reading reward, or end-of-term celebration. Print on plain paper for a quick craft, or on card stock for sturdier toppers that stand up well on a skewer. Favor tags are perfect for tying onto goodie bags, jars, and small gifts.
Print tips
For accurate circles and tags, print at 100% scale (not "fit to page") so the cut guides stay true to size. Card stock gives toppers more body on a toothpick; standard paper is fine for tags that will be tied to a bag. Keep the cut-guide toggle on while you are learning the layout, then turn it off for a cleaner finished look once you are confident with your scissors.
FAQs
Quick answers
How many cupcake toppers fit on one page?
You choose. Set the columns (1 to 6) and rows (1 to 8) to fit anything from a few large toppers to a full sheet of small ones. A 4 by 5 grid gives twenty standard circle toppers per page.
Can I put a different name on each topper?
Yes. Paste a list of names, one per line, and each topper uses the next name as its main line — adding extra pages automatically if your list is longer than one page. Leave the list empty to repeat the same message everywhere.
What is the difference between a topper and a favor tag?
A circle topper is a round design you cut out and tape to a toothpick or skewer to stand in a cupcake or cake. A favor tag is a rounded rectangle with an accent band and an optional punch hole, made to tie onto a goodie bag, jar, or gift with ribbon or twine.
What paper should I use?
Plain paper works for a quick craft. For toppers that stand firmly on a skewer, print on card stock. Card also helps favor tags survive being handled and tied. Print at 100% scale so the cut guides stay accurate.
