Brew method and grind, beside the notes

The reason a cup was good is rarely only the bean. Recording the method, the grind and the dose on the same card as the tasting notes is what makes a good cup repeatable rather than lucky.

Process is the field people leave out

Washed, natural, honey. It shapes the cup more obviously than almost anything else on the card and it is printed on the bag you are about to recycle.

Four sections

Aroma, flavour, body and mouthfeel, and finish — the same four-part shape a wine card uses, because the sequence of paying attention is the same even though the vocabulary is not.

Two to a page

Two entries per sheet by default, or one if you write a lot. The sheets punch and go into a binder, which is the usual fate of a tasting journal that gets kept.

FAQs

Quick answers

Is the coffee tasting journal free?

Yes — set it up, download the PDF and print as many as you need. No account and no sign-up.

A4 or US Letter?

Both. Choose the paper size before downloading and the sheet is laid out to fit it.

Can I put my own business name on it?

Yes. The heading and the fields at the top are editable, and the PDF carries only a faint PrintablesWorld mark.

Can I print several copies at once?

Yes — where the sheet supports it, set the page count before you download rather than printing the same PDF repeatedly.
