What this tool does
Print a deck of math fact flashcards for quick mental-maths practice. Each card shows a number fact on the front — such as 7 × 8 or 12 − 5 — and the answer on the back, so children can self-check or a partner can quiz them. The default deck covers the times-table facts, but you can edit, add, or remove any card. The back page mirrors the front grid for clean double-sided printing: flip on the short edge and every answer lands on the reverse of its fact.

Free Printable Math Fact Flashcards for Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division
This generator builds a deck of printable math fact flashcards with a number fact on the front and the answer on the back. The ready-made deck covers core multiplication facts, but you can swap in addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division facts for any range you are practising and download a print-ready PDF in seconds.
Each card shows one clear fact — like 6 + 7, 15 − 8, 7 × 8, or 56 ÷ 7 — with the answer waiting on the reverse. Children flip to self-check, or a partner holds the card and reads the fact aloud. Choose 4, 6, or 8 cards per page and the engine adds as many pages as your deck needs.
Built for parents, teachers, and homeschool families who want a polished, reusable set of math fact cards without hand-writing every one.
Why use math fact flashcards?
Speed and accuracy with number facts free up working memory for harder problems. A reusable printed deck means you can:
- drill times tables and division facts for instant recall
- practise number bonds and addition and subtraction facts
- quiz in pairs with one child reading the fact and the other answering
- use the cards face up for matching and memory games
- build a daily five-minute fluency routine
- reprint a fresh deck whenever cards get lost or worn
Because the layout repeats on every page, you can reprint or replace a deck in seconds rather than writing out cards by hand.
What you can customise
The default deck is ready to print, but every part is editable. You can set:
- The facts: keep the multiplication set or replace the pairs with addition, subtraction, or division facts for any range
- The answers: each fact on the front carries its matching answer on the back
- Cards per page: 4, 6, or 8
- Worksheet title: a heading at the top of the front page
- Paper size: A4 or US Letter PDF output
The back page is automatically mirrored so the answers line up on the reverse of each fact when you print double-sided.
How to use the tool
- Start with the ready-made fact deck, or edit the pairs to the operation and range you are teaching.
- Pick 4, 6, or 8 cards per page (fewer per page means bigger facts).
- Choose A4 or US Letter as your paper size.
- Click Generate and preview the sample front and back pages.
- Download the PDF and print double-sided with short-edge flip.
- Cut along the card borders and, if you like, laminate for durability.

Card content ideas
Multiplication facts
Front: 7 × 8. Back: 56. Best for times-table fluency and quick recall.
Division facts
Front: 56 ÷ 7. Back: 8. Best for linking division to the times tables.
Addition and number bonds
Front: 6 + 7. Back: 13. Best for early number sense and bonds to 10 and 20.
Subtraction facts
Front: 15 − 8. Back: 7. Best for practising take-away and difference within 20.
Methodology
The engine splits your fact pairs into a grid based on the cards-per-page value. Fronts print left to right, top to bottom; the back page mirrors the grid horizontally so column one on the front matches column one on the back after a short-edge flip. Card borders and a light cut-guide frame each card to help with trimming. Branding, watermark, and footer come from the shared PDF template, so the cards stay consistent with every other PrintablesWorld printable.
Printing tips
- Use 4 cards per page for the biggest, easiest-to-read facts for younger learners.
- Print on 160 gsm card or heavier so the cards survive shuffling and daily use.
- Laminate after cutting for a deck that lasts a whole school year.
- Print double-sided with "flip on the short edge" so each answer lands on the reverse of its fact.
- Test alignment with a single page before printing the whole deck.
Designed for A4 and US Letter printing
The same grid prints on A4 and US Letter, and the back-page mirror works on either size. US Letter is fractionally wider than A4, so cards are a touch larger, but the deck count and duplex alignment stay the same.

FAQs
Quick answers
What is on each math flashcard?
The front shows a number fact, such as 7 × 8 or 15 − 8, and the back shows the answer. You can edit any fact and its answer before printing.
Can I make addition, subtraction, or division decks?
Yes. The starter deck mixes the four operations, but you can replace the pairs with any addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division facts for the range you are practising.
How do I print the backs so they line up with the fronts?
Print double-sided and choose “flip on the short edge” (short-edge binding). The engine already mirrors the back page so each answer lands on the reverse of its fact.
What paper and card should I use?
A4 or US Letter both work. For a deck that survives daily use, print on 160 gsm card or heavier and laminate after cutting.
