Worked example: percent-of-amount mode

Suppose you select percent-of-amount mode with 10 problems. The generator will produce questions like "What is 25% of 80?" The answer for this question is 20, calculated by multiplying 80 by 0.25. Another question might ask "What is 50% of 160?" which gives 80. The percentages are drawn from common values (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 75%, 80%, 90%), and the amounts are whole numbers chosen to keep arithmetic straightforward. If a calculation results in a non-integer, the answer is rounded to two decimal places.

How the generator builds problems
