Worked example

For a KS1 class practising opposites, set ten pairs and turn the answer key on. The left column might print “up”, “big”, “hot”, “fast”, “happy” and so on; the right column prints their opposites (down, small, cold, slow, sad) in shuffled order. The child draws a line between each matching pair. On page two, the answer key shows the same columns with the correct connecting lines already in place, so marking is a single visual check.

Methodology
