Solving tips for expert Sudoku

At seventeen to twenty-three clues, you will run out of naked singles and hidden singles early. Scan rows, columns, and boxes for naked pairs and triples — sets of two or three cells in a house that contain only the same two or three candidates, letting you eliminate those numbers elsewhere. Look for X-wings: when a candidate appears in exactly two cells in two different rows, and those cells line up in the same two columns, you can eliminate that candidate from the rest of those columns.
