Build the planner you will actually use
Bought planners fail for a predictable reason: they contain pages for a life that is not yours, and the unused sections quietly signal that the whole thing is not working. Assembling your own from single pages avoids that. Pick the two or three layouts you know you will fill in, print a month of them, and add sections later if you find you want them.
The Build a workbook button above loads the set into the Workbook Builder, where you can order the pages, drop the ones you do not need, and download the result as one PDF ready for a binder or a long-arm stapler.
Pick the right level of detail
The most common mistake is choosing a page more granular than the life it describes. Hour-by-hour time blocking is excellent for genuinely variable days and demoralising when every day is broadly the same, a weekly page and one habit tracker will last far longer. A monthly overview, on its own, is too coarse to change any behaviour.
A combination that tends to survive: one dated page for commitments, one weekly page for intentions, and one tracker for the single habit you are actually trying to change.
Trackers work on a horizon
The 30-day and twelve-week trackers exist because those are the two spans at which people reliably keep going, long enough to show a pattern, short enough that a bad week does not feel like the end of it. Starting a fresh sheet after a lapse works considerably better than looking at three months of gaps.
